Act now and tell Congress "Don''t Cap & Trade American jobs!" Just as America seems to be pulling itself out of the worst economic downturn since The Great Depression, Congress is working diligently on passing the "American Clean Energy and Security Act" (H.R. 2454), also known as the Waxman-Markey "Cap & Trade" bill.
Research indicates that if this passes the Senate, families in America will have to shell out an additional $1,800 a year in energy costs and thousands of Americans would lose their job. Tell Congress not to "Cap & Trade" the jobs of Americans.

I am writing to urge you to oppose the Waxman-Markey "American Clean Energy and Security Act" (H.R. 2454). America has been hit hard during this recession; damage that will be further compounded if the Waxman-Markey bill becomes law. If it passes, tens of thousands of Americans will lose their jobs, the prices of goods and services will skyrocket and the cost of energy will rise significantly.
The combination of higher energy costs, the additional costs of complying with the new law and increased labor competition from foreign countries with lower energy cost-businesses will cause America lose thousands of more jobs overseas.
I appreciate your time and consideration, and again, urge you and your fellow legislators to strongly oppose the Waxman-Markey "American Clean Energy and Security Act." It is bad for the country.
